What is internship?
An internship is a structured work experience that allows students or recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting. The benefits of an internship include skill development, career exploration, networking opportunities, practical exposure to workplace culture, and an advantage in future employment.
It is is a structured, short-term work experience that offered by companies, organizations or institutions to help/support students or fresh graduates to gain practical experience in their specific field of study, especially in the three domain aspects:
1. Affective domain
2. Cognitive domain and
3. Psychomotor domain

There is still a gap between academic learning and real-world professional practice. For example, when you studied marketing, you did not actually sell a product or service. When you learned how to operate a DCS panel, your practice was only with your teacher, and if mistakes were made, nothing serious happened — they could simply be corrected.

However, you did not gain exposure to the real environment, where mistakes have direct consequences. In companies, organizations, or institutions, errors can lead to negative impacts: production may be disrupted, or customer satisfaction with products and services may be reduced.
How can mistakes or errors be prevented?
During an internship, students are guided by professionals on how to carry out business-as-usual activities.
